VENTENY Collaborates with the South Sumatra Cooperatives and SMEs Office and IMA Palembang Chapter for MSME Development

Palembang, September 11, 2024 – PT VENTENY Fortuna International (IDX: VTNY) has strengthened its strategic partnership with the Cooperatives and SMEs Office of South Sumatra Province through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding in Palembang, South Sumatra. The agreement with the Cooperatives and SMEs Office was signed on September 6, 2024, during the 2024 National MSME Day event.

During the 2024 National MSME Day in Palembang, which was also attended by the Minister of Cooperatives and SMEs, Teten Masduki, VENTENY introduced the “VENTENY for MSMEs” program, part of the company’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives.

The VENTENY for MSMEs curation program, launched at the end of 2023, successfully attracted over 150 MSMEs across South Sumatra within a month. This number was narrowed down to 20 selected MSMEs, which had the opportunity to showcase their products at the Palembang MSME Expo in January 2024. Five MSMEs were then chosen as final participants, receiving six months of mentoring from VENTENY and a business capital boost of IDR 10 million each, along with access to other productive funding opportunities.

The program aims to help MSMEs improve their product and service quality while opening access to broader markets. This curation serves as VENTENY’s first step in fostering sustainable economic development in South Sumatra, where the program was initially launched.

VENTENY also took the opportunity to strengthen its partnership with the Indonesian Marketing Association (IMA) Palembang Chapter, signing a cooperation agreement on September 4, 2024, during the peak event of VENTENY’s ESG initiative, “VENTENY for MSMEs.”

Both events held in South Sumatra are part of VENTENY’s commitment to supporting the growth and development of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and business owners in Indonesia, particularly in the South Sumatra region. These events are an important platform for VENTENY to introduce various initiatives focused on empowering the local economy by providing access to innovative financial solutions and technology.

VENTENY Group COO Damar Raditya stated, “We are delighted to contribute more to the advancement of MSMEs, particularly in the South Sumatra region. Our expansion into Palembang is not just about profitability; more importantly, VENTENY’s presence aims to help even more people. Through collaboration with the South Sumatra Cooperatives and SMEs Office and IMA Palembang Chapter, we hope to make a positive and tangible impact on the growth of local MSMEs in South Sumatra.”

VENTENY’s Corporate Secretary, Zasa Kinanti, added, “This curation program will not stop in Palembang. We are proud to continue it in other cities across Indonesia. As the backbone of Indonesia’s economy, MSMEs will receive full support from VENTENY to showcase their best potential.”

With its participation in the 2024 National MSME Day, VENTENY has further strengthened its role within the Indonesian MSME ecosystem. This initiative is expected to be the first step towards broader, more sustainable collaborations in empowering MSMEs across the archipelago.
